I am wondering- what’s the caffeine difference between a 10 oz.mug of regular folgers coffee brewed by a regular coffee maker versus a 6-8 oz cup of coffee brewed with a starbucks disc in a tassimmo one cup machine?
im not sure ] :
It depends on the beans used. The more you roast the beans, the less caffeine they have – so espresso actually has less caffeine than regular coffee. Any beans that are double-roasted will have less caffeine. Other than that, I’d say that Starbuck’s has less caffeine; but only because their coffee is so darned weak that they probably don’t use as much in it as you would use at home
Starbucks has a darker roast but not more caffeine. In fact, the darker the roast, the less the caffeine (because the roasting process destroys some of the caffeine).
The beans are basically the same (both use Arabica beans).
The other difference is how much coffee you use per volume of water. If you use the same amount of coffee and water, they will be roughly the same caffeine content (or slightly less for Starbucks because of the darker roast)
Folgers home coffee has more caffeine. (between 70-80mg)
than Starbucks regular coffee. (which has exactly 64 in a grande)
starbucks costs more than a cup of coffee at home. and it tastes burnt
