How many scoops of whole beens per cup of coffee?

i want to make a pot of coffee but my coffee is not already ground, and my coffee maker grinds it for me

I just made coffee. I’d say a half cup of whole beans will make two cups of coffee, so its easier to just make a pot of coffee. A half cup of ground coffee will make 4-6 cups.
